Aug 7, 2010 - I think Donna Jean has a great voice, I searched for her and found her singing lead vocals and man, she is great, very rich voice like janis Joplin, it's disappointing they didn't let her forefront more

Aug 9, 2010 - Jerry's rockin' out on the Travis Bean, all aluminum neck guitar!!! What great guitars those were. I've got a buddy who was handed down one, from his late father, and it's worth 3 or 4k!!!

Aug 22, 2010 - You know why the Grateful Dead had people who followed them around the entire damn country? Because the music they made was soul-piercing. Nobody else can do that. Ego piercing, mind piercing, even heart piecing. But only the Dead can do the soul, man.

Jul 27, 2010 - @CrazyFingers75 i agree. i don't worship them in any sense. to say they were "art" can come across as pretentious - i am sure jerry as a humble man would not approve. i didn't mean it in that way - but what they produce is definitely more than "good time" music they can be a dance band - but they are much more than that. there are reasons many scholars, intellectuals, historians, politicians and "accomplished" people are attracted to them i don't overthink them, but theyre > wonderful songs -
