Dec 1, 2008 - I'm not being sexist. Women actually have incapability to have a gritty, grundgy, rocknroll sound. Also, the odd thing about rock is there are hardly ANY rock and roll female vocalists compared to male vocalists.

Dec 1, 2008 - I just have one question? If it doesn't sound like rock and some of you don't like it then why comment on it or watch it? I myself think Flyleaf is great!XxDreamMidnightxX

Dec 1, 2008 - This may not be much of a rock song, but Flyleaf still has some awesome music and her voice is very impressive for a female rock singer. <3I'm sure most of you have heard their song, "I'm So Sick"? What other female vocalist could pull off a scream like that? :3Just enjoy the music, everybody.

Dec 1, 2008 - omg, you are soo being sexist!! Rock isn't all gritty and grundgy, you know. And some rock MALE singers can't do that either and their music is STILL considered rock!and your last saying about how girls can't do screamo, yea right. You have no idea how many AMAZING female screamers are out there! You obviously haven't really looked.jeez, bias much, huh?
Tinzert Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - V.V Let me explain rock better for you.. Let me word this better for you - you must sound "roaring". You have to sound ever-so-slightly (yet sexiliy) hoarse. Like thick ice breaking. Girls have delicate and soft voices, even girls who don't primarily have that, they just don't have the kind of tonal strength required to truly go out there and blast some rock. Girls screaming? If we're talking about some overly light voice that sounds serenely and sterile, then yes they can. Bahaha.
Tinzert Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - Also, if I'm being sexist, then how come girls can't pee standing up? Same type of scenario. Girls simply don't have the tonal strength to sing rock correctly.

Dec 1, 2008 - I think you are very sexist and have no idea what you are talking about and are only saying these things because you are JEALOUS! HA! >=P

Dec 1, 2008 - Ok, look, rock isn't all that. There are many bands out there that are considered rock but don't have that rouch tone to it. And actually, I don't think you've really looked hard enough because there is a hell of a lot of girl singers who can do that voice and make it sound good! and when it comes to screaming, once again, I'll tell you, there is a hell of a lot of amazing girl screamers out there who top a LOT of guys I've heard.Honestly, go and check it out, you'll be amazed.

Dec 1, 2008 - I think you've been listening to Bryan Adams too much to think that all rock has to have that rough tone...
Tinzert Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - I think you haven't been listening to rock at all. Women have been trying to duplicate the original rock voice, to no avail though. This is an exception. Please look further into my points and quit dismissing them with ridiculous retorts like, "Oh it's not rock, that's Bryan Adams." You haven't proven me wrong on how her vocals sound uncategorized, seemingly pop-ish.
