Nov 28, 2008 - yeah, ariel built a atom with a supercharged 2.4L RST-V8 (basically two bored out Yamaha YZF1000 mated together) in the back. plus, the new aerodynamic signature for the v8 atom resemble an f1 car. looks crazy!

Nov 28, 2008 - I love this vid and it appears so do 4 million others but I've been thinking about it and you know that they knocked back the Caparo because it couldn't clear a speed bump? Well the Atom uses heim joints rather than rubber and ball joints in it's suspension and for this reason it should be knocked back. Heim joint life is very limited for road use wearing qickly and failing, sometimes dangerously (the outer pops off the ball) - I believe that some Atom owners have already experienced this.

Nov 29, 2008 - yeah, that caparo should have been alloud on the leader board, cos have you seen the stupid thing thats heading it now? the 'gumpert' me thinks that would struggle to get over a speed bump too, i think the ascari still should be top cos its genuinly fast and will clear a speed bump as well

Nov 30, 2008 - Actually the ariel atom cost around 65-70 grand. Thats not a bad deal since it can beat almost any car in the world to 0-60 and can keep up with a ferrari enzo to 120 mph.
