Too many Harley dudes think they MUST dress the same....act the same...I ride a stock XL883...wear a white full face brain basket...no chaps...fringes....I aint got no tattoos....and dont go in for chrome add ons!No grizzled beard...no biker bitch on the back....no skull crap neither! I love my XL...I respect all bikers....but let get back to some indivuality......Ride Safe Bros! :-)

Oct 17, 2008 - Amen Brother!!! It's all about being yourself. Course, I do wear leather, but not because everyone else does, only for protection. I ride safe but because of some asshole found myself sliding down the road a few years back and left lots of skin on the road and that shit aint happing anymore, no Tattoos on this body either :) So Be Yourself and Ride Safe.

Oct 22, 2008 - Went to the dealership the other day to buy a VRSC...the sales guy told me I wasn't fat enough to ride a Harley--come back when I gain 50lbs. WTF?

Oct 29, 2008 - I believe the harley bashers need to try one... I've owned Jap... There is now an FXDL, FXST, and FLHX in my garage. One for every mood. I also believe the motor company has been around for 106 years, not by selling t-shirts at the "boutique". Yes, H-D riders buy apparael with their emblem on it... so what. These days its hard to find a shirt without a logo of some brand on it. Why not support an American icon?

Nov 2, 2008 - i'm going to repeat myself. i've been riding 25 years. and i'm a chick. i do my own wrenching, and have riden side by side with some pretty hard core dudes over the years. true bikers, the ones i know, don't put a lot of time and energy into caring what anyone thinks. we've made our bones, in one way or another. i'll ride anything anyday in any weather and i appreciate being called a pussy. c'mon, lets go.
scattass Says:
Nov 17, 2008 - Because the American icon has been turned into a marketing gimmick! Where is the ingenuity in a motorcycle that has pretty much used the same technology since the 60s?
madv8mods Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - its ingenuity that has stood the test of time. the new bikes are fuel injected and diffrent from those from the 60's, 70's 80's and most of the 90's. but if u ask me ill stick with my 83 ultra glide. i find that the older bikes run better anyway. harley the pick-up truck the corvette and the hot dog will always be the american icons.
RCSV Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - I think in the early 80's is when it started. Putting many foreign parts in Harleys. There's many Japanese parts in Harleys today. And Italian. Even the Vrod's engine was designed by Porsche. Buell's 1125R sportbike has an Austrian Helicon engine in it. Nothing today is 'all American'.
