Nov 25, 2008 - I am sure we appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion. To those who don't like the song or Men At Work- don't listen. I'm sure MAW don't care as they have been working consistenlt for the last 30 years & will have a song that will last generation after generation, at least to Aussies. Sorry! How many songs do you have Smilebit299?

Nov 26, 2008 - That's an opinion, the type of singing from person to person that is considered 'good' changes. Anyway quite a bit, even some Death Metal(Cookie Monster vocals) can actually 'sing'.

Nov 26, 2008 - Anyway quite a bit, even some Death Metal(Cookie Monster vocals) musicians* can actually 'sing'. Besides, each style has their own vocal techniques. And even though a lot of people think a genre like Death Metal would be easy to do, you have to know techniques to protect the vocal cords and it's not easy to pull off.

Nov 26, 2008 - Not true one hundred Percent. Opeth's singer is a monster singer, along with Everygrey's singer. Blaze Bayley can also sing good as well. But most of the female vocalists are terrible in metal.

Nov 26, 2008 - Honestly though it really is all opinion-based. Such as when you can go on any music video on youtube and find people saying "this is the best song/band ever!". It depends on how you perceive the expression of self through the person's singing style, if you dislike it you wouldn't see what it means to someone who enjoys it. Along with the fact quite a lot of people can't pull it off properly (hurt themselves).

Nov 26, 2008 - Such as guitarists in bands that are in the Grindcore genre, they're all over the place with the sound, and not in a sense of rhythm. Some people would see that as a terrible player, but others would see it as quite a technically proficient player. Because of the weird timing signatures in the style and the very complex rhythmic style that comes into something like that making it extremely difficult to play (such as Mathcore bands also).

Nov 26, 2008 - best men at work song, I don't hear it that often on the radio. For some reason I feel that is a summery song maybe because it is shot in Australia and I heard it a lot by the ocean back home. It brings back a lot of good memories

Nov 28, 2008 - watch My Overkill (scrubs) the lead singer is in it and sings it. Its hilarious
dvdraw Says:
Nov 29, 2008 - yeah but just because the song says land down under. doesn't mean its about Australia, hell it could be about coming from their mothers womb. besides. the lead singer is from Scotland. so he quite clearly isn't from Australia

Nov 29, 2008 - ???Are you an idiot? No, wait, I got it, you don't even have to tell me, you ARE an idiot. Men At Work is from Australia, just like The Police are from the U.S., in spite of the fact that Sting was born in U.K. And, just to clarify, the song "The Land Down Under" IS about your mother's womb.
dvdraw Says:
Nov 29, 2008 - hehehe. i did my research. and your right. they are from austrilia. i am awarding you 3 merit marks for correcting me. however i don't see how saying the police are from the Us and sting is from the Uk is relivant at other other than you trying to show your knowledge of old band. however, i will say this...did u ever try them spicy flavored monster munch? i mean did u not think they tasted great with bovril on toast? please, tell me your thoughts so we can elaborate more about pizza. :)
