Oct 24, 2008 - Think of Prog Metal and Death Metal played together and you get Opeth.

Oct 26, 2008 - Their song "Under A Serpent Sun" was the first Melodic Death Metal song i ever listened to, and starting from this day i loved it...i still get a goose skin when i listen to At The Gates, i would die for seeing them live! O.O

Sep 8, 2008 - @HooligannSTR: That is the main reason, why Edge of Sanity is to my mind better than Opeth. Although I like both bands very much, EoS wins in the case of functional death metal riffing and using melodic and progressive elements smoothly. Better passages, etc. as you said, "See Crimson". And in the bottomline: Opeth is a steady goer and have made more 'near-perfect' albums than EoS. They had only one (or three at most, I love Crimson II and PA also).
