One of the biggest searches on the the internet today is find people search. Of all of the searches in google 30% of the searches are being preformed by people that have lost connection with their loved ones.

A great story that I like to tell about people search is that of my Uncle. When my Uncle was in his young years he and his wife had a son but their marriage did not work out. They ended up splitting up and he did not hear anything from his son until he was 18 but he still did not feel that he was ready to be in contact with him.

Then 10 years later my Uncle felt as if he was ready to get back in contact with his son… problem? Yes, he had no idea where his son was or how to contact him. The place where he had last heard of his son and ex wife living was a no go since they had not lived there for quite some time.

I talked with him about trying to use find people search to look for his son online. I performed a search and there were a couple of the people that had the same name. I got the results and one of the sites gave us not only his address but his current phone number!

Some people attempt to find people by searching on google. There are times that this can be done but I would not recommend this way since the results can really be anyone. If you decide to search through google make sure you add some additional information on your search like a birthdate so that you can find the right person.

The whitepages are sometimes used when people are trying to search for lost loved one but once again they are not the best place to do people searches. I have not been able to find anyone that I wanted to find through the whitepages but it’s always worth a look I guess.
