Today’s musicians love for playing Rock Band Covers, is no different than the early rock band musicians like the Beatles, Eric Clapton and so on. Rock Covers is as old as the music itself and will be here as long as the music is here.
There is no higher tribute that on Rock Band can pay another, the rock band cover is timelessMusicians rarely believe that their Rock Cover version will sound better than the original song. Rock Covers are not usually intended as competition but about respecting your Rock Idol. It’s not unusual for a Rock cover to better than the original.
Take for example, the song Blinded By The Light. This song was written by Bruce Springsteen in 1973, but most people are familiar with this song through Manfred Mann’s Earth Band 1976 cover version. Blinded By The Light is still very popular today, and can be heard on every classic rock radio station everywhere, it is in fact one of the greatest rock singles ever. But very few people have ever heard the original Bruce Springsteen version. That’s not to say that the original version of that song wasn’t any good, in fact, I enjoy listening to it. That said, Manfred Man’s version is my favorite, without doubt, the most famous. As often happens, music critics will come out of every crack to bash and trash the rock cover, and this is unfortunate, because music should never be unchanging and non-evolving.
I’ve listed a few famous bands covers by famous bands. You’ll be interested to learn that many of Rock n Roll legends have done cover music. I hope you enjoy my list of Rock Band Covers.
