Losing Weight After Having A Baby can be an extremely difficult task. When you step on the scale just a few days or even a few weeks after giving birth, you might be completely horrified to find out that you’ve hardly lost any weight at all. The average woman gains 25-30 pounds during pregnancy and only about 12 of those pounds are lost during birth. So you’re stuck with many unwanted pounds hanging onto your body. However, you don’t have to be completely horrified or stuck with those pounds forever. You can lose weight fast after having a baby, although it does take determination, it is absolutely possible.

So don’t feel discouraged!

What can you do to lose weight after your pregnancy? There are a huge list of options at your fingertips! That can be overwhelming considering most methods are unsafe, unhealthy, and most don’t work. There are thousands of weight loss programs, many claiming you’ll lose 40 pounds or more in just one week. That’s just not possible, attempting such things will only make you unhealthy. And you don’t want that, not with the little one depending on you!

As horrible as that sounds, it’s the truth. But don’t fret, I can give you healthy alternatives to all the hype around, and provide real solutions to you’re weight loss program. Because Losing Weight After Having A Baby is possible, and you can do it the healthy and right way. Here are just three ways to reduce those unwanted pounds.

1. Watch your portion sizes!

The average American has no idea how much they should be eating. A simple tip, is to put your food on a smaller plate, or in a smaller bowl. With that smaller area to put the food, you will be tricking your mind into thinking you’re eating more than you actually are. Proportion sizes are smaller than you might think. For example an ounce of meat is generally about the size of a woman’s palm. Remember you’re not eating for two anymore, so watch your portion sizes and you can easily lose weight fast after pregnancy.

2. Stop eating foods packed with sugar!

Cutting out most of sugar from your diet can greatly reduce the weight you’re packing around. That means no more soft drinks! Energy drinks are packed with sugar, 12 teaspoons or more. That is unhealthy especially if you’re drinking more than one of these a day. Sugar is great, but in moderation. It’s best to get natural sugars in fruit. Instead of grabbing that can of drink, grab half of a grapefruit with a packet of Splenda. Or perhaps have a handful of strawberries. Not only will cutting out the sugar help, but incorporating healthy fruits will reduce your weight even more! Not to mention, you’ll probably have even more energy then you did before.

3. Eat whole grains!

Instead of having a sandwich on white or Italian, opt for a whole wheat bread. Whole wheat has many fibers in it, which are crucial to every woman’s diet. Many diets claim you have to cut out carbs all together, and that is not entirely true! So go with the whole wheat because believe it or not, carbs are an important part of every persons diet.

Remember, make reasonable goals, don’t get discouraged and keep that determination. You will soon see success in your goals for fat reduction. You don’t have to suffer from the weight you’ve gained, losing weight after having a baby is easy and safe! Did you know that just losing 1 pound will take 5 pounds of pressure off your knees, which you’ll need to be able to move quickly and keep up with your new born child.

The people in the village were real poor, so none of the children had any toys. But this one little boy had gotten an old enema bag and filled it with rocks, and he would go around and whap the other children across the face with it. Man, I think my heart almost broke. Later the boy came up and offered to give me the toy. This was too much! I reached out my hand, but then he ran away. I chased him down and took the enema bag. He cried a little, but that's the way of these people...
